Kerala State Industrial Enterprises Limited (KSIE) is a premier Government of Kerala undertaking, established on January 25, 1973, under the Industries Department. KSIE’s original mandate was to function as a Holding Company dedicated to the crucial task of reviving and nursing sick industrial units within the state. Over the decades, KSIE successfully transformed its mandate, strategically expanding its operational profile into lucrative and infrastructure-critical sectors, establishing itself as a key facilitator of trade and industrial development for the state.

Strategic Logistics &
Air Cargo Management
KSIE became a vital facilitator of international trade when the Government of India selected it as the operating agency to establish and manage Air Cargo Complexes in Kerala, starting in 1979.
Pioneering Logistics: KSIE became the official Custodian of the Thiruvananthapuram Air Cargo Complex in 1979.
Operational Expansion: KSIE extended its air cargo operations to Kochi (1985) and Kozhikode (1995). Today, KSIE continues to manage the active complexes in Thiruvananthapuram and Kozhikode, ensuring efficient global trade flow.
Container Freight Station (CFS): KSIE launched its landmark project: the Cochin International Container Freight Station (CICFS) at Eloor, Kalamassery, during 2011. This facility is the first public sector Container Freight Station in Kerala, providing essential services, including expansive container stacking yards and warehousing, to streamline movement for the state’s maritime trade.
Manufacturing and Brand Heritage
KSIE is the proud parent of the iconic Kerala Soaps, its dedicated manufacturing arm, representing a rich cultural legacy.
Kerala Soaps Revival: The manufacturing unit for Kerala Soaps was inaugurated in Vellayil, Kozhikode, on January 1, 2010.
Premium Products: The unit successfully reintroduced premium products like Kerala Sandal, Thrill, Vep, Kairali, Wash well which quickly gained popularity.
Product Expansion: Following the inauguration of the second phase on January 27, 2011, the brand expanded its offerings to include products like Thrill variants, Kairali variants, Kohinoor sandal turmeric soap Thrill body wash, Hand wash, dish wash, floor cleaner . toilet cleaner , bathroom floor cleaner, and detergent

Immediate plans
Vizhinjam Integrated Logistics Hub
Our immediate focus is the Vizhinjam Integrated Logistics Hub, a critical project encompassing Container Freight Station (CFS), Container yard, Modern warehouses, workshop, Pack house, amenity center, and fuel station. This comprehensive facility is projected to become a pivotal multi-user logistics and Ship Chandler hub, essential for capturing port-centric business and ensuring substantial local employment generation.
Multipurpose complex at Thampanoor
Partnership (PPP) project by KSIE to develop a seven-story, commercial and office complex on a prime 1.37-acre land parcel in the heart of Trivandrum. The project is planned under a Design, Build, Finance, Operate, and Transfer (DBFOT) model, seeking a private partner responsible for comprehensive development and operation over a 20-25 year concession period.
Warehouse-cum-Business Center (Gandhi Nagar, Kozhikode)
A new business center combined with warehouse facilities is planned for the 3.34-acre land parcel at Gandhi Nagar in Kozhikode. This development is intended to strengthen operational capacity and provide modern storage and commercial space in a key region.
Logistics Institute (Kochi CFS)
Proposed in partnership with ASAP, this institute will be established at the Container Freight Station (CFS) in Kochi to address the industry's need for a skilled logistics workforce. The curriculum will be industry-focused, and the institute is committed to ensuring placement opportunities for its trainees.
